More About the Band and Their Walk With Christ:
Birthed out of a heart of worship, The Broken arrive with refresh
ing originality, and with vivid expressions of a new generation of
worship. The Broken emerged out of a prayer meeting in early 2009,
after lyricist Joannie Tellado (prolific), and lead vocalist/rhytm
guitarist Lance Cashwell shared a vision to use rock and hip-hop
as a means to exalt Jesus Christ, and communicate the Truth of
God through song. The Band took shape soon after with Rob Hop
per at lead guitar, Sammy Delgado at Bass, and Paul Gray on drums.
THe "Unforgotten EP" (engineered by Conrad Johnson from Chris
and Conrad) was released in mid 2009 as the bands introduction
with songs like "I Never Knew" and "Every Breath" getting regular
airplay on South Florida radio station The Call FM. THe Broken
have performed with bands like Decemberadio, Ascend the HIll,
Aaron Gillespie (The Almost), White Collar Sideshow, Horizons Fall...
and others. The Broken is excited about their recent endorsement by Risen Drums and for the upcoming release of their full lenght album in Summer 2011.

More About the Musician and Their Walk With Christ: As a little girl, I would spend hours in my basement singing my favorite songs. Music was one of my first loves. I co-wrote my first song at age twelve with a girlfriend. But interests quickly vanished as life brought pain. My parents divorced when I was three. For most of my childhood I lived with an abusive stepfather. As a teen I turned to drugs, alcohol, and destructive relationships to hide the pain.
When I was 25 years old, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I fully surrendered. He lifted me out of my pit of destruction and into His loving arms. My old life was traded for a new one in and with God.
Gradually I became awakened to the poverty and abuse in America. There are over half a million orphaned and abused children in the US and many more unreported.
In July 2007, I founded I Matter Too. I Matter Too is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that provides educational support and shares the love of Jesus Christ with orphaned and abused children.
In 2008, I began learning guitar and writing songs. In November 2009, my first album "True Conversations" was released. The album shares intimate conversations between me, God and the children at I Matter Too.
Because our God is Magnificent, life is now a journey of impossible coincidences and miracles. I'm glad you are traveling it with me. I pray the music and stories will encourage you along your path to the everlasting…

Musician Name: Larry Davidson & Family
Style of Music: Folk rock style of worship
Favorite Bands: Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Danny Daniels, Carl Tuttle...
We Are: Joanne Davidson: Keyboard and background vocals
Larry Davidson: Guitar and lead vocals
Pete Davidson: Rhythm, bass and guitar
Background: Learned worship through the Mid Hudson Vineyard Church in the 1980's in upper N.Y. State, a church Joanne & Larry helped plant. From that church they were sent out in teams to share with other area churches that wanted to open up to more intimate worship. It was a time when the Church was going from sing songs about God to sing songs to God. They don't claim to be accomplished musicians, just to have a heart for God. And if He shows up and touches people, that's all that really matters.

More About the Band and Their Walk With Christ:
Warrior of Christ, Husband, Father of Four Boys, Worship Production Leader, Pity The Poor Band Guitarist and Children's Case Manager. I am your Modern-Day, Mild-Mannered American Dad!!
As a regular artist for A Cup of Organic, I feel like I've become part of the family. I am especially thankful for them being open and available because it was through A Cup of Organics Open Mic Nights that I once again tapped into the gifting that God has placed in me.
After leading worship on a volunteer basis for 10 years in NY we decided to move to Florida and for 2 years I had not used my gifting. Since beginning my Cafe Worship sets at "Organics" God has placed me in volunteer Youth Worship Leader position, a part-time ministry position as a Worship Production Leader and brought Pity The Poor Band into my path. Leading Worship and Rockin' to Reach the Lost are a combination that few have been graced enough to enjoy!
I Truly Thank God for such an anointed Cafe, their Owners and Staff, and even their Great Food and Coffee!
